The Us, in About Us, is just me and the FROG in my pocket. I have said this for years in response to the question, “Who is we”? from others after I address myself as we instead of I.
This morning God told me who the FROG in my pocket is. That FROG in my pocket is God’s Holy Spirit that lives in me. He continually reminds me to talk to God instead of myself.
A friend once told me that FROG stands for Fully Rely On God.
I am the mother of three and was an operator in an oil refinery for 30 years. When it was determined I had narcolepsy, I was forced to retire.
I laugh and cry a lot and can cook. People seem to like me, but I normally get in trouble when I like people. My number one advantage is that Jesus loves me.
I have tried different ways to make money since my retirement; from hanging Spanish moss in trees, including mine, to participating in farmers markets, to sales, and internet marketing. Shoot, I was even made a part owner of a company. Yesterday I became a Lyft Driver. My first day was a story in itself.
I just like to play. One day I am going to find a way to make money playing. I tried it on the boat, but it didn’t work. I did get the Lake Charles L’Auberge Casino Resort to make my service dog, Gypsy, their mascot in 2015. That was fun.
With the help of family members and friends, I have written true stories about my life in Southwest Louisiana. Please enjoy them and the 8 mm films from my childhood with no sound. Remember?
